WHAT: SIRIUS Satellite Radio's Outlaw Country channel will broadcast from the SXSW Music and Media Conference in Austin, TX for the fourth consecutive year. Outlaw Country DJs Mojo Nixon, Dallas Wayne and DJ RigRocker will interview artists and give listeners a little taste of Texas and what has become one of the biggest music festivals in the United States. Artists scheduled to stop by include Junior Brown, Buddy Miller, Old 97s, James McMurtry, Rosie Flores, Bobby Bare Jr., and the Supersuckers.

SIRIUS Satellite Radio’s Underground Garage channel 25 will now cater to those crazy California teenagers as “The Andrew Loog Oldham Program” will air from 9pm until midnight PT on the west coast starting immediately.

For the first time since Little Steven’s Underground Garage started broadcasting on SIRIUS in 2004, there will be a DJ heard after 9 PM on the West Coast. Andrew Loog Oldham, the legendary manager and producer of the Rolling Stones from 1963-1967 and one of the original Underground Garage DJs
at SIRIUS, has held the weekday morning spot on the East Coast (Monday through Friday; 8 AM – 11 AM Eastern Time) since February of 2007. Now his daily show is being rebroadcast so Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and all
points west will hear his often hilarious candid observations, first-person insights, and musical expertise in the evening from 9pm to midnight.

“I love all of our DJ’s but Andrew is the Govn’er,” says Little Steven. “We have him on every day because I simply cannot imagine getting through the day without him. It occurred to me recently (I have no excuse really) that the only time the west coast could hear him was 5 to 8 in the morning which is fine if you’re an actor but if you’re a relatively normal human being it might be a bit early, so here you go.”

Tune in on August 9th at 4pm EST for part one of a reunion of music industry legends on SIRIUS Satellite Radio’’s Underground Garage channel 25 when Andrew Loog Oldham sits down with Seymour Stein for his "Conversations" series on "The Andrew Loog Oldham Program." Listeners can expect to hear the two recount tales of how they first met at Red Bird Records and reflect on how the music industry has changed over the past forty years.

Stein, founder and head of Sire Records, is the man who broke American punk music into the mainstream by signing The Ramones, Talking Heads, and Blondie. Beyond punk, Stein originally signed pop superstar Madonna and 80s new wavers The Smiths.
